A Dream Not So Sweet
By: Jed B. Peña
Oh, how lovely this morning is
The sun shatters a radiant bliss
The trees area dancing, full of joy
The wind singing, not so coy
When you see the clouds, sure you’ll grin
And soon the birds will fly softly within
The sky so blue, the breeze so cool
That when you stare, will make you drool
Oh such a lovely, blissful morning
But why the rain now come rushing?
The clouds turned gray and very heavy
The thunder laughed very loudly
The lightning strikes, now it’s angry
The rain cried down of harmful dreary
The aura transformed into a scary monster
Making the people run for danger
Trees falling down, here and there
Leaves are scattered everywhere
Water released its heavy burden
Flooding all over very sudden
Oh, what a tragic, scary day
Blocking all the good, sunny ray
It’s sad the cause is, us, so obvious
But it just doesn’t seem to trigger the fuse
Suddenly, I hear, alarm it seem
Knowing that it was not a sweet dream
Then I got up, my mood was taken
Asking, what’s the worst thing that can happen?
